Etiquette Angels

Asian games are on in Guangzhou after much hype. China is usually noted for its grandeur. The opening ceremony of Olympics 2008 in Beijing was lauded by spectators and various international presses as spectacular and spellbinding and by many accounts "the greatest ever". The grandeur didn't deteriorate even this time. And one of it which awestruck me are the Etiquette Angels. Also known as Asian Angels

Etiquette angels are none but the hostess whose job is to escort the VIPs to present medals to the atheletes.
During Games events they can be seen warming up for medal ceremonies by holding out their arms, elbows firmly tucked into their bodies, carrying an imaginary tray of medals to an imaginary winner on the podium. It is said that their training included learning to stand for at least one hour at a time without dropping a sheet of paper tucked between their knees or letting a book fall from their heads. If either did hit the floor, they would have to start all over again. Then there was a smile training. It is a known fact that Chinese people follow lots of traditions. Traditional Chinese deem it ungraceful for a woman to bare her teeth when she smiles. But not Asian Games chiefs. ( this makes me remember "Bound Feet" which i studied in my school). Their eyes are definitely filled with amicability and sincerity. I am much impressed by the perfection of Chinese in whatever action they do. This perfection in work is reflecting in their rise in medals tally.
